Our client is a fast paced rapidly growing business based in the centre of Brighton, East Sussex. They are looking to hire a PHP Developer to join their technical team. You will have commercial development experience in PHP web applications with a desire to embrace and learn new technologies.
The Role:
- To work within the Agile team and practice this methodology in the development environment.
- To design and deliver high-performance web applications.
- You will be proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills.
- To research and promote new technologies.
- To resolve problems and issues before implementations are impacted.
- Collaborating with wider business users and the development team to deliver technology products
- Help identify new opportunities and improvements
- To be proficient in web development
The Skills Required:
- Proven commercial experience developing PHP web applications.
- Experience with API’s – REST, SOAP
- Database Experience – MS SQL Server, MySQL
- Experience with PHP Frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Zend, MVC).
- Experience in HTML5, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript and jQuery preferred
- Knowledge of both server and client-side an advantage
- Comfortable using version controls such as Github or SVN.
- Understanding of Linux systems preferred
- Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure (AWS or similar).
- Having strong interpersonal skills is key
